About me

"Leave them better than you found them—let it be the world we live in, or the people we live with."

This philosophy is my North Star. I believe a purposeful life requires a blend of technical excellence and human empathy. While many see sustainability as a checklist, I see it as a collective mission to restore balance to our shared home.

My journey is rooted in academic excellence. As a Gold Medalist from the University of Colombo with a BSc (Hons.) in Business and Environment, I possess a unique dual perspective: understanding the ecological systems that sustain our planet and the economic frameworks that drive our world.

Currently, as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Poverty Analysis (CEPA), I contribute to Sri Lanka’s National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (2026-2030). Working at the intersection of policy and practice, I translate global frameworks like the CBD and SDGs into actionable national strategies.

My approach is defined by technical precision. I ground my strategies in rigorous data analysis, leveraging R, Python, and GIS to model environmental impacts. From leading SBTi processes to managing complex GHG inventories, I thrive on turning data into evidence-based solutions for a resilient future.

Beyond the data, I am a people person who thrives in diverse environments. Often described as the "happy pill" of the team, I am known for having "more than 24 hours in a day"—pouring boundless energy and positivity into every project. I am a bridge-builder who loves bringing people together to turn ideas into action. I don’t just build strategies, I build inclusive experiences, ensuring that every space I enter is left a little better than I found it.
